First, I should say that despite of how my following words may sound like, I enjoy very much this photograph. Let's start with the vision and impact. The feather and the dark tones add an eerie and gloomy atmosphere to the piece, which are very common for a crow themed work. The way the drop looks like brushing over the feather is similar to the way the wind brushes through the crow's wings - it has grace, strength and an unnatural feel, attached to the whole image. The theme - droplet on a flower/feather has been done countless times before, so I cannot give more than one star here. My comment on the technique - I'm positive the photograph would have been better if the focus was on the droplet, it wasn't so sharpened and the feather part, which is in the background, was more softer and a bit blurry. I am aware that there has to be an emphasis on it, but not that much. To sum it up - a really well done atmospheric photograph, but it could be better. People say "Practice makes perfection." Even though there is no such thing as real perfection, I believe that you can improve. Don't stop with the photography. I'll be glad to see what else you can show and I do believe it will be even more beautiful than this piece of art.
